Employment Services

Our employment team complement the core corporate and commercial practice of the firm and gives advice and support on employment matters.

In the context of a typical corporate transaction this could include advising on redundancy programmes, the effect of TUPE (Transfer of Undertaking Regulations) or negotiating a service or compromise agreement for a senior employee.

We are aware that employment rights and procedures can be extremely complicated and often bewildering for employers who are looking to act in a quick and incisive manner.

We are not one of those law firms who look to over complicate matters and involve specialist lawyers who do not appreciate the "wider commercial picture". Our aim is always to equip our clients with the technical support and know-how whilst guiding them through the employment law procedures in the most effective manner.

On the compliance side, we provide advice to clients on how to set up the correct legal structures. This covers the drafting of employment terms and conditions as well as producing handbooks and policies to ensure client companies have the correct procedures in place.

The employees of a company are more often than not its key asset, and retaining and incentivising staff will be fundamental to the success of any business. We have the expertise to advise clients on employee incentive programmes and share option schemes.

With our "high growth clients" we always ensure that that there is "joined up thinking" between the employment aspects and corporate aspects of the terms and conditions that are to apply to senior executives who are also shareholders in the company.
